Lee's Summit practitioner RosannWith 30 years of experience as a Licensed Couples and Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, teens, and families navigate the complexities of their relationships.

My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in empathy and collaboration, allowing me to understand each client’s unique story. I specialize in enhancing communication for couples, supporting military personnel and first responders, and assisting families through transitional periods. Additionally, I have a strong focus on treating trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and stress.
EXPLORE OUR SERVICES

Types Of Therapy I Practice

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is effective for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and chronic stress, particularly those struggling with negative thought patterns, overthinking, and behavioral avoidance that interfere with daily functioning and relationships.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is best suited for clients with trauma histories, including complex PTSD, childhood trauma, and repeated exposure to critical incidents, especially when symptoms present as triggers, hypervigilance, emotional reactivity, or difficulty feeling safe and grounded.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Solution-Focused Therapy is helpful for clients navigating life transitions, relational stress, or feeling “stuck,” as it supports individuals, couples, and families in identifying strengths, clarifying goals, and creating practical, forward-focused change.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy: The Gottman Method is effective for couples experiencing conflict, communication breakdowns, and erosion of trust, helping partners rebuild connection through structured interventions that strengthen friendship, manage conflict, and increase emotional attunement.
  • First Responder-Focused Trauma Therapy (Firefighters): For firefighters, trauma-informed approaches—particularly EMDR combined with CBT—are highly effective in addressing cumulative trauma, critical incident stress, sleep disruption, and hypervigilance, while also supporting emotional regulation and reintegration into family and daily life.

Beyond my clinical work, I led workshops on stress management, communication strategies, work-life balance, marriage, and parenting, aiming to empower others on their healing journeys. I believe in creating a safe, nurturing environment where clients feel heard and valued.
