A Place to Be Heard at Rejuvenate
Talking about what’s on your mind isn’t always easy. Myra Cornwell offers a welcoming place to begin, with room for questions, honest conversations, and getting to know yourself better. They work with teens ages 15 and older, adults, and couples at Rejuvenate in Lee’s Summit.
Whether someone is working through substance use concerns, relationship challenges, or questions about their identity, Myra approaches each conversation with curiosity and respect.
Experience That Shapes Their Approach
Myra earned their degree at the University of Central Missouri. Before joining the practice, they worked with individuals involved in the justice system who were experiencing substance use disorders. That experience gave them insight into the social and personal challenges that can shape someone’s life and recovery.
Their clinical interests include substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ concerns, and helping people develop a clearer sense of who they are and what matters to them.
Therapy Built Around Each Person
Myra’s person-centered approach gives clients an active role in therapy. They take time to listen, understand each person’s perspective, and identify goals together.
They also draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, which looks at connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sessions offer opportunities to notice patterns, build coping skills, and consider different ways to respond to challenges. Throughout the process, Myra values collaboration and a therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard and respected.
